Wonderful poem Deborah Raessler shared
Today, we gathered in the lovely home of Deborah and Sarah Raessler. We were treated to scrumptious nibbles and coffee, tea, and cider. We discussed this book: “Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden” by Camille Dungy. Deborah led the discussion and also introduced several books that related to the book's storyline. One book of poetry included the lovely poem pictured above. It was another Just Incredible chapter book club discussion!
Notes:
Deborah shared this quote from the book. "It is more than hope my garden gives me. Examples of resilience keep me coming back to walk this path in gratitude and wonder."
The poem includes this word. Click here to hear how to pronounce it. -- di·a·pa·son -- /ˌdīəˈpāzn,ˌdīəˈpās(ə)n/ -- noun 1.
