Thank you, Jill Hyde, for writing this account.

The Gaddy Group met for their last quarterly connection at Memory Square Pool in Louisville. We coordinated this gathering around Marylee's visit from Texas. As co-hostess, Jill also invited others who she knew loved to swim.

Nine of us gathered under the big umbrella at Marylee's favorite local pool. She reminisced about growing up at her grandmother's home just up the block and swimming at Memory Square as a child.

Jill treated everyone to lunch (croissants and chicken salad with a side of quinoa salad), and Jan provided a beautiful fruit tray. It was a gloriously hot and sunny day, and after lunch, most of us cooled off and pretended to be a synchronized swim team.

Annie initiated the blessing bag, and $200 was donated and deposited into this account. We're blessed that Marylee suggested the concept of quarterly connections. Our Gaddy Group has thrived during our meetings, getting to know our sisters better.

Book Club Hosted by Annie Gaddy

L-R: Vicky Hughes, Cindy Weber, Beth Herbert (Honored Guest), Linda Petroff, Hostess Annie Gaddy, Tanya Lynn, and Maggie McDonnell (Photo taken by Belinda Alkula.)

Hostess Annie Gaddy welcomed seven Sisters to the beautiful back patio of her country home this morning. We had a great time visiting with one another and discussing Annie's book selection for this month's chapter book club meeting: "An Invisible Thread" by Laura Schroff and Alex Tresniowski.

We were honored that Beth Herbert joined us! It's so great to get to know this Sister who recently relocated to Colorado!

Hostess Annie provided refreshing drinks, fruit, and "nibbles." And our wonderful book club facilitator, Vicky Hughes, provided a delicious homemade chocolate-banana bread.

Nothing could be finer than to share a beautiful summer morning together, talking about a "good read."
