Gathering for Pop-up Fundraiser, Lunch, Program, Chapter Meeting

Today, Linda Petroff graciously welcomed 19 sisters into her lovely home. Co-hostess Tanya Lynn provided a delicious assortment of drinks and savory/sweet nibbles, which were appreciated by all!

Pop-up fundraiser: Sisters donated gently used purses for a "purse swap." Folks happily donated money for the "new" purses they took home with them.

Wendy Ahrendt provided a marvelous program about Frida Kahlo, which was well received!

Annette Oakley conducted the chapter meeting which included wonderful reports and Just Incredible news to celebrate! Stay tuned for the draft minutes to be emailed to sisters.

Chapter gatherings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month. The next one will be June 19th at Maggie McDonnell's home. The program will be a report of the Convention of Colorado State Chapter by our delegates, Geneva Fisher and Joyce Kozeliski.

Celebrating Annie Gaddy's Choral Performance

Annie Gaddy is a member of the Resonance Women's Chorus. Their spring concert, Map in the Dark, was held this afternoon. Seven of our chapter's sisters were delighted to attend this marvelous musical experience: Belinda Alkula, Kathie Burson, Geneva Fisher, Jill Hyde, Joyce Kozeliski, Tanya Lynn, and Jan Smith.

Chapter JI/Lafayette Colorado is pleased to introduce you to our first Just Incredible STAR Scholarship recipient, Rachel Cooper. She's the granddaughter of one of our charter members. She has a passion for learning and constantly seeks opportunities to grow, and in her words, "embrace the world" and "be more." We are so proud of Rachel and anticipate celebrating her accomplishments in the years to come!

Annie Gaddy's Invitation to Spring Concert in May

 
Resonance concerts are always attempts to pay attention, to meet the moment. In this moment, we choose beauty, with messages of warmth, connection, and empowered voice. Choral singing offers a kind of existential reassurance that we cherish.

Annie Gaddy is a member of the Resonance Women's Chorus. Their spring concert, Map in the Dark, is offered on three different dates in May. They will perform one-hour, no-intermission concerts at United Church of Christ in Longmont and at the First Congregational Church in Boulder.

Today's program was a marvelous presentation by Kathe Gibb, Jill Hyde's neighbor. Kathe retired from the Westminster Library System. She volunteers her time to book groups and organizations that requests speakers. Her "Book Talk" included information about where to find great books, and she shared her personal favorites/ recommendations. The program was well received!

We appreciate the gracious hospitality extended to us by Cindy Schreiber Huxley and the yummy treats provided by Vicky Hughes!
