On a beautiful summer's day, sisters met at Jan Smith's lovely home to enjoy lunch together, hear Cindy Weber's program about Maria Merian, "The Butterfly Lady," and have our monthly chapter meeting.

Our guest was Lori Enright from Chapter AD in New Mexico. She recently moved to Arvada.

As always, our sisters delighted in time spent with one another! And we really enjoyed the delicious refreshments provided by co-hostess Roberta Meyer. Every time we gather, it is Just Incredible!!!

The Broomfield Library is thrilled to present this year's "One Book One Broomfield" selection, Remarkably Bright Creatures! Join author Shelby Van Pelt for the author talk on Nov. 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Broomfield Auditorium. This program is free and seating is first come, first served until capacity is reached.

Great Book Club Discussion Today!

Mary Kay Durbin hosted the book club at her home today. She chose this book for discussion: Good Night, Irene by Luis Alberto Urrea. 

To make it extra special, Mary Kay planned a Zoom meeting with Maureen Holtz from Champaign, Illinois. A random Google search resulted in Mary Kay's connection with Ms. Holtz. She spent time with and later wrote an article on Judy Pitts Knappenberger, who was one of the three women featured in the book.

The Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association (RMDSA) will host its 28th annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk on the morning of Sunday, September 29, 2024, at City Park in Denver. Our P.E.O. Chapter JI will have a team that will be headed up by the one, the only SARAH RAESSLER!
