It was delightful to be able to meet in person again! Hostess Kathie Burson invited us to a garden party in her beautiful, shaded backyard. Fifteen Sisters and one honored guest were able to attend. 

She welcomed each of us with a "cool" yellow bandana (cold from the cooler) so it could be tied around the neck. It was fun to see all the Sisters sporting the same festive bandana throughout the time together. And it felt so good, too -- helping us to stay cool on a hot summer afternoon! 

As is our custom, Sisters take their lunches to enjoy lunchtime with one another before the program and chapter meeting. We appreciated Kathie providing refreshing fruit-flavored water, other drinks, a variety of popsicles, and Godiva chocolate!

Annie Gaddy gave a marvelous program on how each of us can improve our organization skills. She is the business owner of Orderly Outcomes. Here is an excerpt from her website. "What I truly love to do is to teach women to clarify and prioritize their complex life so that they create amazing and lasting change and have a clear vision of how, on a daily basis, to accomplish what is most important."

A new fundraising effort was announced! Our chapter will begin having "JIFFY" pop-up fundraisers. "JIFFY" is an acronym for "Just Incredible Finds For You!" Sisters' donations will be available as raffles or things that can be had for a donation. For example, at this meeting, the raffle of the box containing a beautiful collection of greeting cards raised $48. The raffle of the collection of various scented hand soaps raised $28. And donations for packaged greeting cards raised $42. The total amount raised for our first "JIFFY" pop-up fundraiser was (drum roll ...) $118. Yea! 

Geneva Fisher, Co-chair of the Communications Committee, announced the reorganization of our Quarterly Connections (small groups), which will go into effect this fall.

All in all, it was a "cool" summertime in-person gathering of P.E.O. Chapter JI Sisters. Every time we gather and celebrate one another's gifts and take stock in all that we are able to accomplish together, we are struck by the awareness that we really are Just Incredible!

Today, a few P.E.O. Sisters gathered under a large shade tree in the lovely back garden of Mary Jean Cardinale to paint birdhouses. It was a relaxing, fun thing to do on a summer's day! (Note: We were told to dress down and wear things that we could get paint on.)

We got to tour Mary Jean's painting studio and bountiful garden. And we enjoyed a delicious salad, all ingredients gathered directly from her vegetable garden, minutes before serving. This blessed time together was a wonderful fundraiser-event! Donations totaling $390 will support our chapter's philanthropic endeavors. Thank you, Mary Jean!

At this year's state convention, it was announced that this is our theme for the next year. There is a marvelous 6 1/2-minute video, available for viewing, that shares examples of how to "let your love for P.E.O. show" with others in your orbit.

Here is the way to view this video. Login to the website for the Colorado State Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Under the "Member Resources" drop-down tab, click on "2022 Convention Videos and Documents." Scroll down to the fourth row of videos, and you'll see it on the right. Click on it, and the video will start.
